Turning a prompt into a presentable deck is table stakes now. That race is over. What separates these 21 products is what happens after the AI hands you the slides. Can you fix the bits it got wrong? And is the price you thought you agreed to the price that hits your card?

Answer those two questions and the field sorts itself. Storydoc takes the top spot at $19.80/mo, and it earns that for a specific reader: sales and marketing teams who need CRM-personalized decks with engagement tracking. What it builds is an interactive document rather than a static deck. If that's not you, look down the list.

Plus AI at $10/user/mo is the pick when your work already lives in Google Slides or PowerPoint. Want on-brand design without touching a layout? That's Beautiful.ai at $14.50/mo.

Want to test before you commit? Twelve of the 21 advertise a free plan, and the allowances differ wildly. Three of them show the range, and each holds something back.

Prezi refills 500 credits a month but publishes your deck publicly and keeps PDF export on Plus. Napkin AI refills 500 a week, though its Slides feature is beta and PPT export starts at Plus. Visme's Basic plan is permanent and will not download a PPTX.

One more thing before you start clicking: every card-required trial here bills you when it expires, Beautiful.ai's 14-day and Plus AI's 7-day included.

Which one should you buy?

Best if your deck lives in Google Slides or PowerPoint: Plus AI, $10/user/mo, and the output is a native file from the start.
Best for CRM-personalized sales decks: Storydoc, $19.80/mo, with per-viewer engagement tracking on every page you send.
If you want a permanent free plan with a cheap paid step up: Visme. Basic is $0 and stays $0, then Starter is $12.25/month (billed annually at $147/year), which is where your PPTX, MP4, GIF and HTML5 downloads unlock. Prezi's Standard tier is cheaper at $7/month, so price the two against what you actually need to download.
Free editor to learn in: Pitch. €0 forever, a real editor, and 4.9/5 across 31 Capterra reviews, though the 100 AI credits are one-time, so the AI half is a trial with no clock. If you want an allowance that keeps refreshing, Prezi's Basic tops up 500 credits a month.
Best if the deck carries client data: Beautiful.ai. Its security page documents SOC 2 Type II, GDPR, CCPA and PCI DSS compliance plus annual penetration testing, which is the sheet a client's legal team usually asks to see. Cancel inside the 14-day trial or you get billed.

The shortlist at a glance

Those five are the shortcuts. Read the full table by lane first, then by budget. Four shapes show up. Some are standalone builders you log into. Others are add-ins that live inside your PowerPoint or Google Slides.

The rest are document-to-deck converters and vertical specialists built for one job, like pitch decks or biopharma. The review column matters as much as the price column. Anything under roughly ten reviews is a vendor you're taking largely on faith.

What a free plan actually gets you

That free-tier column is the one that hides the most. Twelve of the 21 advertise something free. Free for how long? The word covers wildly different things. Some hand you a lump of credits that never comes back. Others top your balance up every week. One or two cap your deck so tightly you can't finish a real client pitch on it. Here's the same claim, unpacked.

Tool	Free allowance	Refresh cadence	Slide or deck cap
Pitch	100 AI credits, 1 seat, 2 external guests	One-time	-
Presentations.AI	100 AI credits	Annual	Up to 20 slides
Prezi	500 AI credits	Monthly	Presentations public by default
Canva Magic Design	Free plan at the bottom of a range running to $100/month	-	-
SlideSpeak	100 credits at sign-up	One-time	About 3 presentations
Visme	Unlimited projects, 500MB storage, 10 AI credits	Permanent plan	Downloads limited to JPG, PNG and PDF
SlidesAI	120 AI credits, 12 presentations	Annual	1,000-character input per presentation
Gamma	2,000 credits maximum	No refresh	Up to 10 slides per prompt
Napkin AI	500 AI credits, Napkin branding on visuals	Weekly	-
Alai	200-300 AI credits, watermarked exports	-	Max 10 AI slides per prompt
Slidesgo AI	3 AI presentations and 3 downloads	Monthly	-
Wonderslide	3 presentations, non-commercial use only	Monthly	Up to 10 slides

Rule of thumb: if the allowance never refreshes, treat it as a trial with no clock, not as a plan. Napkin's 500 credits a week and Prezi's 500 a month are the ones that keep feeding you. Gamma's 2,000 credits are generous once, then done.

What breaks when you try to change it

Credits decide how many decks you get, not whether you can fix the one on your screen. Is the deck still yours once the AI finishes? Not always. Eleven of the 21 carry a documented limit on what you can change after generation, and reviewers hit the same walls again and again. This is the column to read before you promise a client revisions.

Tool	What reviewers can't fix
Storydoc	Repositioning images, resizing components, chart types and data-series editing
Beautiful.ai	Auto-design leaves less room to tinker than a manual tool
Prezent	Chart and data-visualization tools difficult to manipulate
Pitch	No alignment guides, no smart-art diagramming, limited shape variety
Presentations.AI	Limited control over the finished deck
SlidesAI	Updating or adding content after generation
Canva Magic Design	Mobile editing cramped for text and resizing
Gamma	Image framing once the AI has placed it
Slidesgo AI	Uploading your own images into an AI-generated deck
ChatSlide	AI-generated images after they land in the deck
Decktopus	No slide sorter view, no HTML export

Tip: generate one throwaway deck on the free tier and try to move a single image and change one chart series. Ten minutes there tells you more than any feature page.

Two review worlds, one billing problem

Run that ten-minute test on a card-required trial, though, and you have already bought the thing you were testing. So look at the checkout before you look at the design.

Check some of these products on two review sites and something odd shows up: on two of them, the software-buyer sites rate the tool far higher than the consumer complaint sites do. It isn't a rule of the whole field, and the table above shows why: MagicSlides sits at 4.4/5 on Trustpilot. But where the gap does open, it is not a disagreement about slide quality.

Beautiful.ai holds 4.6/5 on G2 and around 2.9/5 on Trustpilot. Canva scores 4.7/5 across 13,424 Capterra reviews and 4.0/5 on Trustpilot, where 31% of reviewers leave one star. Slidesgo sits at 2.1/5 from 58 Trustpilot reviews with a split personality: 52% five-star, 43% one-star.

Read the low reviews yourself and, on four of these tools, the pattern is billing rather than design. Canva reviewers cite auto-renewal charges and denied refunds. At Visme it's hidden cancellation buttons. Slidesgo reviewers report no cancellation option while logged in, and charges continuing after they tried to cancel. Same story at Slidebean: unexpected charges after cancellation.

So read the one-star reviews for what they actually say. On those four, the complaint that repeats is about the checkout, not the slides, and the checkout is the part you agree to before you have seen a single deck.

Ranks 1 to 5: the tools that picked a lane

So keep that lens on. The first five are where the vendors stopped competing on generation and built for one job.

1. Storydoc, best for CRM-personalized sales decks

Storydoc's pitch is the interactive document. Reviewers describe the format as feeling premium and modern next to a static PDF or a slide deck, and that framing is the whole product. What you get is a document with video, forms, calls to action and Calendly booking built in.

Then it reports back. You see who opened it and how long they lingered on each slide.

None of that is limited to presentations. Proposals, business plans, reports and media kits each get their own purpose-built maker. Connectivity is where it pulls ahead. HubSpot and Salesforce cover the CRM side, with Zapier for everything else.

MCP (Model Context Protocol) support means you can generate a personalized Storydoc straight from a chat command in Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT or Copilot. G2 reviewers give it 4.7/5 across 66 reviews and praise the setup speed. Its homepage states ISO 27001 certification.

Starter, $19.80/month (billed annually at $237.60): 5 active documents, 20 AI image credits/mo, 25 AI text credits/mo.
Pro, $36/month (billed annually at $432): 30 active documents, 125 AI text credits/mo, unlimited slides.
Team, custom: unlimited active documents and a designated storytelling expert.

Five document slots fill faster than you'd think. There's no free plan to test on, and G2 reviewers call the pricing steep for startup budgets.

So the trade is plain. You give up pixel control in exchange for a page that reports on itself. Reviewers name the specifics: repositioning an image, resizing a component, changing a chart type or editing a data series. Fine if your deck is a templated sales narrative. Frustrating if you want to nudge every image by hand. If a native PowerPoint file is a hard requirement, check the export column in the table above before you commit.

2. Beautiful.ai, best if the deck carries client data

Say the layout trade doesn't bother you. Who do you buy from, then, if the deck carries client data and a legal question could come back? Beautiful.ai. The vendor side is documented in detail here; the checkout is the part you have to manage yourself.

The security page documents SOC 2 Type II, GDPR, CCPA and PCI DSS compliance, AES-256 encryption at rest, SAML SSO with SCIM, and annual penetration testing. Your data is barred from training public LLMs, with a maximum 30-day retention.

That's the vendor side. The product works outline-first. Describe what you need, then let 300+ Smart Slide layouts handle spacing and hierarchy as you add content. That automation is also the limit reviewers name most: auto-design leaves you less room to tinker than a manual tool does. Paid plans include live data-linked charts, voice-over recording, viewer analytics and PowerPoint import and export.

Pro is $14.50/month if you commit for the year, or $45/month if you'd rather pay monthly and keep your exit open. Team is $40/month per user billed annually, $50 billed monthly, for 2 to 20 seats.

G2 rates it 4.6/5 across 195 reviews with an 86% five-star share, and per its funding announcement the company raised $45 million from General Catalyst in March 2026, which buys it some runway.

Watch the bill: there's no permanent free plan. The 14-day trial requires a credit card and auto-charges if you don't cancel first. Trustpilot has it at around 2.9/5 against that 4.6/5 on G2, though the complaint on record from reviewers is limited design flexibility rather than billing. Cancel inside 14 days or you get billed.

3. Plus AI

Plus AI wins a simple argument: the best presentation tool might be the one you already have. It installs as an add-on inside Google Slides and PowerPoint. From there it builds a full deck from a prompt or an uploaded document, and you can remix a slide without leaving the editor.

Output is a native file from the start, so your client asking for the editable version is a non-event. The Google Workspace Marketplace listing shows 4.5 stars across 905 reviews, and what reviewers praise is the structured outline you get back rather than random slide filler.

It also runs an MCP server, so ChatGPT or Claude can build and revise a PPTX for you. Plus Docs, Inc. states SOC 2 Type II compliance and holds Google Cloud Partner and Microsoft AI Cloud Partner status.

Every tier is credit-metered, so buy by how much you generate.

Basic, $10/user/month billed annually ($15 monthly): 1,500 AI credits/month.
Pro, $20/user/month billed annually ($25 monthly): 3,000 credits, document uploads, 100K+ character prompts and AI images.
Team, $30/user/month billed annually ($40 monthly): 6,000 credits and custom branding.
Max, $200/user/month: unlimited credits.

Whichever tier you land on, G2's small review sample specifically calls out customer support as weak or nonexistent, so budget your own time for troubleshooting.

Watch the clock: the free trial is 7 days and 1,000 AI credits, it requires a credit card, and it auto-charges the moment it ends.

4. Prezent

Prezent isn't aimed at you. Lite runs $399/user/month and caps you at 300 slide downloads annually with one AI-generated brand template, and Premium, Pro and Custom all require a sales conversation. This is a department purchase.

What the money buys, by Prezent's account, is brand compliance at scale. An AI agent called Astrid builds from your data with chain-of-thought hallucination prevention. The library runs from 10K to 35K+ curated slides with 100+ best-practice storylines, and human experts will build you a deck overnight.

Hand your data to an overnight team and you'll want the security posture to hold. Prezent's security page says it does: enterprise grade, anchored by ISO/IEC 27001:2023 certification, with no customer data used to train models.

That posture isn't decoration. Prezent has leaned hard into life sciences, and the company says 45 of the top 50 biopharma companies are customers, with live data connections to tools like PubMed, Veeva and ClinicalTrials.gov.

G2 rates it 4.5/5 across 101 reviews and Capterra 4.6/5 across 15, with reviewers citing thousands of hours saved. The recurring gripe is more interesting. Several describe the AI as a smart template system that gives you templates to do it yourself, and those same reviewers find the chart and data-visualization tools difficult to manipulate once a deck exists.

5. Pitch, best for beginners

Pitch reads as an on-ramp rather than a power tool, and its reviewers back that up. Capterra reviewers rate it 4.9/5 across 31 reviews and describe it as sublimely easy to use next to PowerPoint's complexity; G2 puts it at 4.4/5 across 43. Pitch says its AI Agent turns a text prompt into an on-brand deck in seconds.

The collaboration layer is real too: co-editing, comments and slide assignments, plus deal rooms and visitor-level analytics showing who opened your deck and what they did inside it.

The integration list covers 20+ native connectors, including Slack, Notion, HubSpot, Figma, Loom, Google Drive, Google Sheets, Airtable and Brandfetch. A public API is still listed as coming soon.

Free, €0 forever: 1 seat, 2 external guests, 100 AI credits as a one-time grant.
Plus, €10/month annual: 500 AI credits/month and 5 external guests.
Team, €15/month (annual billing): 25 advanced links and 3 teamspaces.
Business, €20/month (annual billing): 750 credits/month, unlimited links and teamspaces.
Enterprise, custom quote: the only tier with SAML-based SSO and SCIM.

Two cautions before you send anything. Capterra reviewers report slow loading and text misalignment when exporting to PDF, so open your PDF and look at it before it reaches a client. The same reviewers miss alignment guides, smart-art diagramming and PowerPoint's shape variety, so precise layout work is harder here than the easy on-ramp suggests.

Ranks 6 to 14: strong generators competing on credits

Below those five the field bunches up. So what separates nine tools that all make a good-looking deck? Credits, input formats, and where the file lands when you're done. Everything else in this middle stretch is close enough to call a tie.

6. MagicSlides

MagicSlides takes almost anything. Text, PDF, DOCX, a URL, a YouTube video, MP3, MP4 or images all go in the same box. Trustpilot reviewers confirm the YouTube and PDF conversion works smoothly, and the platform sits at 4.4/5 from 57 reviews with 79% five-star.

MagicSlides says it runs on Gemini AI and writes output in 136+ languages. Breadth is the point here.

You get specialized slide types like pros and cons, timelines and SWOT, plus export to PPTX, Google Slides, PDF, PNG, JPG and HTML. If you'd rather hand the job over entirely, the vendor lists a $99 one-time option where a professional designer delivers the full presentation in 48 to 72 hours.

No free plan. Premium is $29 or nothing, with Premium Plus at $34. Trustpilot reviewers also report download restrictions after generating, and being asked for a review before their trial credits arrive.

7. Presentations.AI

The interesting feature here isn't generation. It's the Refresh Agent, which keeps a master-template deck updated from live sources including Salesforce, HubSpot, Google Sheets, Tableau, Looker, Snowflake, PostgreSQL and MySQL.

Brand Sync pulls your logo, fonts and colors straight from a company URL, and the tool ingests PDF, Word, Excel, URLs, Notion pages and PPTX files.

That suits you if you rebuild the same monthly or quarterly deck with fresh numbers each time. The company states SOC 2 Type II certification and GDPR compliance.

Pro is $20/month ($240 billed annually) for 5,000 credits a year, while the free Starter tier hands you 100 credits annually across up to 20 slides, which is a demo rather than a workflow.

Reviewers describe a fast, simple interface and, in the same breath, limited control over the finished deck. There are only 5 G2 reviews to go on, so that's a thin record either way.

8. Prezi

Prezi carries one of the deepest review bases here: 4.6/5 from 2,219 verified Capterra reviews, with Ease of Use at 4.2/5 and Customer Service at 4.3/5.

Behind the product is a Design AI that Prezi puts at 500 million presentations of training data. Give it a prompt, PDF, DOCX or PPTX and it builds the whole deck. Your content comes back as flow charts, visual lists and that signature zooming canvas. Prezi reports a SOC 2 Type 2 audit.

Basic, $0: 500 AI credits/month, presentations public by default.
Standard, $7/month billed annually: unlimited projects, still no PDF export.
Plus, $19/month billed annually: unlimited Prezi AI, PowerPoint import, PDF export and the offline desktop app.
Premium, $29/month billed annually: adds viewer analytics.
Teams, $39/user/month: SSO and a custom brand kit.

Plus is the tier that matters. Everything below it leaves your deck inside Prezi.

Will it hand off cleanly to a colleague who works in PowerPoint? Capterra reviewers say not reliably. They flag PowerPoint compatibility as a friction point in mixed teams, and some find the zooming motion distracting from the message. Test the handoff early, before the deck matters.

9. Canva Magic Design

Canva is the default answer for a reason. It holds 4.7/5 across 13,424 Capterra reviews, where one user says they make all of their slide decks in it. Across that huge sample the recurring theme is that design stops feeling daunting.

The AI layer sits on top of that. Canva AI 2.0 added agentic tools: natural-language design edits, autonomous content generation and persistent workflow memory, alongside Gmail, Slack and Zoom integrations.

There's a real free plan and many templates sit behind Pro, and Fortune puts the paid range from free through $100/month. Pin your tier before the card goes in.

Mobile editing is the complaint reviewers repeat on both sites: cramped when you're resizing or fixing text. Billing is the other one. Trustpilot sits at 4.0/5 from 6,850 reviews with 31% one-star, driven by auto-renewal charges and denied refunds, so put the renewal date in your calendar the day you subscribe.

10. SlideSpeak

Feed SlideSpeak a PDF, Word doc, Excel file or a web link and it returns an editable native PowerPoint deck, not a picture of one. An assistant called Charles helps you generate and refine the content.

Where it separates itself is export: alongside PPT and PDF it writes SCORM and QTI, the e-learning and LMS standards, which makes it a real option for corporate training teams. It also does AI voice narration with stock or cloned voices, and translates a deck and its narration together. That combination is unusual here.

Its Brand MCP Server gives Claude and Cursor direct access to your approved logos, colors, fonts and layouts. The homepage names a consulting-heavy client roster: Boston Consulting Group, Roland Berger, Oliver Wyman, GE Healthcare and Grant Thornton. That is the lane.

Free, $0: 100 credits at sign-up, roughly 3 presentations.
Premium, $29/month: 1,000 credits, about 27 presentations and 13 AI videos.
Premium Plus, $34/month: 2,500 credits, about 67 presentations and 33 AI videos.
Enterprise, custom quote: custom credit volume, SSO and priority support.

Credits are the currency, so watch the balance. Three G2 reviews is the entire independent record, and one of those asks for more template variety. Spend the free credits before you decide.

11. Visme, where the paid step buys the export formats

Visme answers a specific question: how much can you get for a low monthly price without hitting an export wall?

Basic, $0/month: unlimited projects and 500MB storage, with downloads limited to JPG, PNG and PDF.
Starter, $12.25/month (billed annually at $147/year): the full template and asset library plus MP4, GIF, PPTX and HTML5 downloads.
Pro, $24.75/month ($297/year): 10GB, a Brand Kit and analytics.
Enterprise, custom: 10-user minimum, SSO and 2FA.

You get more than slides for that money. The AI suite covers a Designer, Document Generator, Image Generator and Text Generator.

The integration list runs past 25 native connectors including Slack, HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Drive and Airtable, with Zapier for the rest. Two limits to know before you commit: the AI Presentation Maker caps output at 10 pages per generation, and it won't generate infographics, video or GIFs on its own.

Watch the cancel path: Trustpilot sits at 3.1/5 across 254 reviews. Reviewers report glitches and slides failing to load, plus renewal friction they describe as hidden cancellation buttons.

12. SlidesAI

SlidesAI is another of the three add-ins here, and it goes where you already work: natively inside Google Slides, as a PowerPoint add-in, inside ChatGPT and as a standalone web app.

Paste your notes or upload a document and it builds structured slides with diagrams, flowcharts, timelines and animations, in one language from source content written in another.

The Google Workspace Marketplace listing carries 2,374 ratings but shows no star average. The 4.6-star figure comes from SlidesAI itself: its homepage claims a 4.6-star rating across 2,000+ reviews. One reviewer clocked a full deck in about 20 seconds.

Basic, $0: 12 presentations/year, a 1,000-character input limit per presentation, 120 AI credits/year.
Pro, $10.00/month (billed at $120/year): 120 presentations/year, 6,000 characters, 600 credits.
Premium, $20.83/month ($250/year): unlimited presentations, 12,000 characters, 1,200 credits.

Those character limits are the real constraint, so get your source notes right before you generate. Reviewers report real trouble updating a deck or adding to it once the AI has built it. Some also report slow processing, so leave yourself a buffer on deadline day. The privacy policy states minimal data collection, HTTPS and at-rest encryption, and deletion on request.

13. Decktopus

SlidesAI at least gives you a dozen free decks a year. Here there's no free plan at all, and Capterra reviewers say basics like folders sit behind the paywall. What the money buys is speed, plus an unusual extra: Loop, an AI presentation coach that gives you feedback on your delivery, not only your slides.

Auto Branding pulls your identity from a URL, Edit with AI refines individual slides, and Beautify redesigns a deck you already built while keeping its content. It exports to PowerPoint, PDF and PNG, runs as an app inside ChatGPT and supports seven languages. Two things reviewers keep asking for and don't get: a slide sorter view and HTML export.

Capterra reviewers rate it 4.6/5 across 67 reviews and cite an intuitive interface with no steep learning curve, one saving at least two hours a week.

Pro is $9.99/mo billed annually, or $24.99/mo if you pay month to month, and buys you 750 AI credits/month, around 150 slides. That's the tier a solo user actually buys. SOC 2 Type II compliance is described as in progress.

14. Gamma

Gamma announced a $68M Series B in November 2025, and its founder says the company is profitable at $100M ARR, which is more balance sheet than this field usually shows.

It generates more than decks: multi-page websites with custom domains, documents and social content, with detailed analytics. Connectors let you drive it from ChatGPT or Claude on every plan including Free, no API key needed.

The free plan caps you at 2,000 credits with no monthly refresh, 10 slides per prompt and 50k input tokens. Paid tiers climb through Plus, which lifts generation to 100 slides per prompt, then Pro, Ultra with 20,000 monthly credits and Studio Mode, then Teams and Business.

Unused credits roll over, and branding removal and analytics are locked to Pro rather than the entry paid plan. So the number you can plan against is the free one: 2,000 credits, once, then done. Which means the free allowance is your whole trial.

Spend it on the deck you actually need. Capterra reviewers say prompts often need rephrasing several times to land the result you pictured, and they also report that once the AI frames an image, you live with the framing.

Ranks 15 to 21: specialists and the thin-evidence tail

That verdict rests on four Capterra reviews. Keep going down the list and even four starts to look generous. What are you giving up down here? Mostly independent evidence. The products get more specific, some will serve you well for a narrow job, and you're buying largely on the vendor's own account.

15. Napkin AI

Napkin's own account is unusually honest. Napkin Slides, the presentation feature specifically, is labeled beta by the company with a few rough edges: a diagram engine first, not yet a deck tool. There's no independent review record to read yet, so there is no outside read on how good the diagrams actually are, and the free tier is where you find out for yourself. As a diagram engine feeding a deck you build somewhere else, $9/person/month is a cheap habit.

The free tier refreshes faster than any other here: 500 AI credits every week, permanently. Those free visuals carry Napkin branding, and unlimited PPT and SVG export only unlocks at Plus, which is $9/person/month for 10,000 credits/month. Pro is $22/person/month and gives you 30,000.

What those credits buy, by Napkin's account, is a text-to-visual engine. It turns your plain text into flowcharts, mind maps, infographics, data charts and slides across 60+ languages, no elaborate prompting required. It works alongside PowerPoint, Google Slides, Keynote, Notion and Confluence.

16. auxi

Napkin feeds PowerPoint from outside. auxi runs inside it and doesn't pretend to be a deck generator at all. Its published materials describe a PowerPoint add-in for consultants who live in slides: SmartBar, Smart Alignment and Selection, an Agenda Maker, and a Checker that catches duplicate and empty boxes before your partner does.

Add translation across 50+ languages and a 200+ template library of charts and frameworks. It converts images into PowerPoint shapes too. PwC, Deloitte, Accenture, KPMG, Microsoft, Bosch and RBC are named as customers, which tells you exactly which lane this was built for, and it states SOC 2 certification.

Pro is $49.99/user/month billed annually or $59.99 billed monthly. Wrong price bracket for one person. There's no free tier, one license covers two of your devices, and auxi is documented for PowerPoint only: nothing in its published materials points to Google Slides or Keynote support, so ask before you assume it.

17. Slidebean

auxi at least tells you what it costs before you start. Slidebean's trial is what its reviewers talk about most. They describe it as misleading, report unexpected charges appearing after cancellation, and complain about marketing emails that keep arriving after unsubscribing. Trustpilot has it at 3.6/5 across 294 reviews.

Those same reviewers consistently praise the design quality of the finished decks. So on their account the decks are the strong part and the checkout is the risk, though the overall score still sits at 3.6/5, so the split isn't as clean as the praise suggests.

Raising money? This is the specialist. The AI Pitch Deck Builder formats slides as you add content. Around it sits startup tooling the general-purpose tools don't touch. You get 100+ pitch-deck templates, a free AI Pitch Deck Reviewer, a Cap Table Tool and a financial-modeling forecast tool, with an Investor Finder and CRM on the upper tier.

Slidebean says it is a 10-year-old company, with offices in New York City and San Jose. Starter is $7/month billed yearly, level with Prezi's Standard tier and among the cheapest paid entries here, though Slidesgo's Premium price shows in local currency rather than confirmed USD, so the exact floor of the field isn't comparable. Accelerate is $99/month, which adds the investor tools and monthly 30-minute sessions with the team.

18. Alai

Slidebean has 294 reviews to argue over. Alai has no third-party reviews on record, so the credentials do the talking: Y Combinator backing and a #2 Product of the Day ranking on Product Hunt. Alai says it builds from a design system rather than a template folder, so one brand setup feeds your presentations, infographics, carousels and posters. You can drive it from Claude through MCP if that's how you work.

The free plan is a forever plan, and it's the reason to try this one. Two catches: it watermarks your exports, and it caps you at 10 AI slides per prompt. So treat it as a look at the design system rather than a way to ship client work.

Free, $0: 200 to 300 AI credits, max 10 AI slides per prompt, watermarked exports.
Plus, $20/month: 600-800 credits, 20 slides per prompt, no watermark.
Pro, $30/month: 1,200-1,600 credits, 50 slides per prompt.
Ultra, $80/month: 5,000 credits.

That free tier is one of twelve here that cost nothing to try, none of them with an expiry date attached, so use it hard before you upgrade.

19. Slidesgo AI

Alai's trouble is that it has no review record yet. Slidesgo has the opposite problem. A recurring complaint in its reviews is getting out. Reviewers report no cancellation option while logged in, and charges continuing after they tried to cancel. Test the cancel button first. Trustpilot sits at 2.1/5 from 58 reviews, split 52% five-star against 43% one-star, so plenty of people are perfectly happy with what they got.

What they got is the template side of the problem: Slidesgo lists 50,000+ templates overall and 800+ built for the AI Presentation Maker. It's education-heavy and the adjacent tools show it, with an AI Lesson Plan Generator, Quiz Maker, Icebreaker Generator, Exit Ticket Generator and a PDF-to-PPT Converter.

Output exports as editable PPTX that works in both PowerPoint and Google Slides. One catch on the way in: you cannot upload your own images into an AI-generated deck, so every picture has to come from the library. Slidesgo is part of the Magnific Projects portfolio alongside Flaticon, which is where the icon and sticker library comes from.

Free gives you 3 AI presentations and 3 downloads a month, and Premium runs ₨649.00/month in local currency, marketed as unlimited but capped on the same page at 150 AI presentations and 150 downloads a month.

20. Wonderslide

Wonderslide has no independent rating on record. What its own documentation shows is one habit worth copying: it presents an outline and waits for your approval before it generates the deck, which is the cheapest possible moment to fix a bad structure. Approve first, generate second.

After that you revise in plain language with version history behind you, and its web search attaches source citations to the figures it pulls in.

Wonderslide puts deck generation at about 15 minutes, with export to editable PPTX, PDF, Google Slides format or a shareable link that needs no account to view, though nothing reaches further than that: there's no integration or API layer beyond file upload and export.

Free, $0: 3 presentations a month, up to 10 slides, non-commercial use only.
Starter, $9.99/mo annually ($12.99 monthly): 20 presentations/month, unlimited slides, commercial license.
Pro, $18.99/mo annually ($24.99 monthly): unlimited presentations and priority generation.
Team, from $45/mo annually: 3-seat minimum.
Pack, $14.99: 5 presentations with 12-month validity, if you only need a deck occasionally.

21. ChatSlide

Wonderslide has no reviews to warn you. ChatSlide has four on Trustpilot, and one of them is a warning: exported presentations coming out as gibberish and failing to save, with the voice-recording feature performing poorly. Reviewers there also say AI-generated images can't be fixed once they land in the deck. That's a few voices out of very few.

Still, test an export on a throwaway deck before you trust it with a client deadline. Other reviewers call the interface intuitive and say it handles large source documents well.

ChatSlide claims it converts documents, PDFs, URLs and research papers into slides in roughly 2 minutes, which that export complaint is worth weighing against. Then it keeps going into video. There's an AI Avatar Studio with 500+ talking avatars, voice cloning across 28+ languages, and 25+ image and video models including DALL-E 3, Flux, Imagen 4 and Grok.

Plus is $8.25/month billed yearly at $99, which buys 500 credits a month and caps each project at 30 slides.

Six questions to ask before you enter a card

That's the whole field, ChatSlide's four reviews included. Past rank 15 you're mostly buying on the vendor's word, so this checklist has to do the work the reviews can't. What separates a subscription from a mistake? Usually one of these six answers, and finding them takes about ten minutes.

Run the list on any vendor in this ranking, or any one that isn't.

Does the free allowance refresh, and how often? Weekly and monthly are plans. One-time and annual are trials wearing a plan's clothes.
Can you test it without a card? A free tier means yes. A trial usually means no, and it usually means an automatic charge on day 8 or day 15.
Does it export a native editable PPTX or Google Slides file? Ask before you build, because your client will ask after.
Can you reposition an image and edit a chart series after generation? This is the single most repeated complaint across the whole field, so test it on slide one.
Can you cancel from inside your account, in under a minute, without emailing anyone?
Does it publish SOC 2 Type II or ISO 27001? Skip this one unless your client's legal team will ask.

Frequently asked questions

Which AI presentation tools have a free plan that keeps renewing, rather than a one-time credit grant?

Four refresh on a cycle short enough to matter, and only two of those give you enough to finish something. Prezi's Basic tops up 500 AI credits a month, a real working allowance, though your deck stays public and PDF export waits for the Plus tier at $19/month billed annually.

Napkin AI's 500 credits a week is the most generous cadence here, but its Slides feature is beta. Slidesgo's 3 decks a month and Wonderslide's 3 are demos, and Presentations.AI's 100 credits a year and SlidesAI's 12 presentations a year are thinner still.

Can I test these tools without entering a credit card?

Yes, as long as you pick a tool with a real free tier rather than a trial. Twelve here advertise one: Pitch, Presentations.AI, Prezi, Canva, SlideSpeak, Visme, SlidesAI, Gamma, Napkin AI, Alai, Slidesgo and Wonderslide.

The two documented card-required trials belong to Beautiful.ai, at 14 days, and Plus AI, at 7 days and 1,000 credits. Both auto-charge when the clock runs out. The remaining tools without a free plan don't publish their trial terms either way.

Which ones export editable PowerPoint or Google Slides files instead of locking the deck inside their app?

Four keep you closest to a native file. Plus AI and SlidesAI build inside Google Slides and PowerPoint, so there's nothing to convert. auxi runs inside PowerPoint itself. SlideSpeak returns an editable native PowerPoint deck rather than images. Of the rest, eight convert to a PowerPoint or Slides file on the way out and nine document no native export at all, and that's where the friction lives.

Two cautions worth carrying: Prezi reviewers repeatedly report PowerPoint compatibility trouble in mixed teams, and one ChatSlide reviewer reports exports arriving as gibberish. Check the export column in the shortlist table, then test it on a throwaway deck before a deadline depends on it.

How much do AI presentation makers actually cost per month?

If you're buying one seat, about half the field lands between $7 and $15. Slidebean's Starter is $7/month billed yearly and ChatSlide's Plus is $8.25/month billed yearly. Napkin's Plus is $9/person/month, Decktopus is $9.99/mo annually, and Plus AI is $10/user/month annually. Visme's Starter is $12.25/month and Beautiful.ai's Pro is $14.50/month.

Above that sit Storydoc at $19.80/month, MagicSlides at $29/month, auxi at $49.99/user/month and Presentations.AI's Gold at $100/month. Prezent's Lite tier at $399/user/month is a different category of purchase, and Plus AI's Max plan reaches $200/user/month for unlimited credits.

Can I generate decks directly from ChatGPT or Claude instead of learning another app?

Several will let you. Storydoc offers native MCP connections for Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT and Copilot. Plus AI runs an MCP server that creates and revises native PPTX files. SlideSpeak's Brand MCP Server exposes your brand assets to Claude, Codex and Cursor.

Alai supports MCP for Claude, Cursor and VS Code. Gamma's connectors work from ChatGPT and Claude on every plan including Free, with no API key. Beautiful.ai has a Claude integration and a custom GPT, and both Decktopus and SlidesAI are available as apps inside ChatGPT.

Which of these have real security certifications for client or regulated work?

Beautiful.ai's security page documents SOC 2 Type II alongside GDPR, CCPA and PCI DSS compliance, and Prezent's security page lists ISO/IEC 27001:2023 and SOC 2 Type II. Storydoc states ISO 27001 certification, Plus AI and Presentations.AI each state SOC 2 Type II, auxi states SOC 2, and Prezi reports a SOC 2 Type 2 audit. Decktopus describes its SOC 2 Type II compliance as in progress, which is not the same as holding it. Every one of those rests on the vendor's own page rather than a certificate you have seen, so ask for the report itself if the deck is going somewhere regulated.
