1. Introduction and Acceptance

This Refund Policy describes the circumstances under which AI Tools Forest (“we,” “our,” or “us”) will issue refunds for paid listing tier purchases on our directory platform at http://localhost/atf (the “Website” or “Service”).

By purchasing a paid listing tier, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Refund Policy, our Terms of Use, and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our policies, please do not purchase a paid listing tier.

2. Refund Eligibility by Tier

Refund eligibility depends on the tier purchased and the time elapsed since purchase. The Effective Purchase Date is the date your payment is confirmed by AI Tools Forest, regardless of when the associated listing is published or activated.

2.1 Verified Listing ($49 one-time)

The Verified Listing is a lifetime purchase that grants verified-tier visibility on a single listing for as long as the listing remains active on our platform.

  • Within 14 days of the Effective Purchase Date, you may request a full refund for any reason.
  • After 14 days, the Verified Listing purchase is non-refundable.

2.2 Featured Listing ($290 per year)

The Featured Listing grants premium placement on a single listing for 365 days from the Effective Purchase Date, and includes lifetime Verified-tier baseline visibility on the same listing after the 365-day period ends.

  • Within 14 days of the Effective Purchase Date, you may request a pro-rata refund based on the unused portion of the 365-day period.
  • After 14 days, the Featured Listing purchase is non-refundable.

2.3 Spotlight Listing ($1,990 per year)

The Spotlight Listing grants maximum-visibility placement on a single listing for 365 days from the Effective Purchase Date, and includes lifetime Verified-tier baseline visibility on the same listing after the 365-day period ends.

  • Within 14 days of the Effective Purchase Date, you may request a pro-rata refund based on the unused portion of the 365-day period.
  • After 14 days, the Spotlight Listing purchase is non-refundable.

2.4 Free Listing

The Free Listing tier involves no payment and is therefore not subject to this Refund Policy.

3. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be issued in the following circumstances:

  • Refund requests received more than 14 days after the Effective Purchase Date
  • Listings removed for violations of our Terms of Use, except where Section 4.3 of the Terms expressly permits a refund subject to deduction of applicable service charges
  • Inability to use a feature due to misconfiguration on the user’s side, including but not limited to incorrect domain ownership, expired credentials, or content not meeting our editorial standards
  • Dissatisfaction with the volume of incoming traffic, leads, conversions, or business outcomes, none of which we guarantee
  • Changes to your business circumstances, including but not limited to company closure, rebranding, product pivots, or shifts in marketing strategy
  • Purchases made through promotional credits, vouchers, partner agreements, or any non-cash consideration
  • Purchases for which a refund has previously been issued and subsequently reversed via chargeback or dispute

4. How to Request a Refund

4.1 Submission

To request a refund, send an email to support@aitoolsforest.com from the email address associated with your account. Please include the following details:

  • Your account email and username
  • The order or transaction number from the original purchase confirmation
  • The listing to which the purchase was applied
  • The reason for your refund request

4.2 Review Period

We will review and respond to refund requests within 5 business days of receipt. We may request additional information to verify the purchase, validate the requestor, or evaluate the merits of the request.

5. Refund Processing

5.1 Approved Refunds

Refunds are processed via the original payment method used for the purchase. Once approved, refunds typically arrive within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your payment provider’s processing time. We are not responsible for delays attributable to your card issuer, bank, or payment service.

5.2 Effect on Listing

When a refund is approved and processed, the corresponding tier purchase is revoked. The associated listing reverts to the Free Listing tier, with the visibility and feature limitations applicable to that tier. The listing itself remains visible on our platform unless removed for separate Terms of Use violations.

5.3 Pro-Rata Calculation

For Featured and Spotlight pro-rata refunds within the 14-day window, the refund amount is calculated as follows:

Refund Amount = Original Purchase Amount × (365 – Days Elapsed) / 365

Days Elapsed is measured in whole calendar days from the Effective Purchase Date to the date the refund request is received by us.

6. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

6.1 Effect of Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute through your card issuer, bank, or payment service rather than contacting us first, the following will occur upon our receipt of the chargeback notification:

  • The affected listing’s tier will be revoked immediately
  • The listing will revert to the Free Listing tier
  • Your account will be flagged for review

6.2 Account Standing

Repeated chargebacks may result in suspension or termination of your account and prohibition from purchasing future paid tiers on AI Tools Forest. We reserve the right to recover any costs, fees, and damages incurred from chargebacks through debt collection, legal action, or both.

6.3 Resolution Before Dispute

We strongly encourage users to contact us at support@aitoolsforest.com before initiating any chargeback. Most concerns can be resolved quickly and amicably through direct communication, and doing so preserves your account standing.

7. Modifications to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Modifications take effect on the Effective Date posted at the top of this page, and apply only to purchases made on or after that date. Purchases made under a previous version of this Refund Policy will continue to be governed by the policy in effect at the time of purchase.

We will provide notice of material changes by:

  • Posting the updated Refund Policy on our Website
  • Updating the Effective Date and Last Updated date at the top of this policy
  • Sending email notifications to registered users when changes affect existing purchase rights

Your continued use of our Service after any changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Refund Policy.
